The design is one that not only draws connections between the exterior skeleton of the structure and interior layout, but one that seeks to question preconceived boundaries between exterior and interior.

Concretely, the lines inspired by Islamic patterns create the skeleton of the structure. They are then drawn inward to give form to the interior layout.

This element will slowly become more and more prevalent as we travel through the structure and come to notice the custom made reception desks that carry the pattern, the carpets that adopt it organically, and the custom shading on glass which carries through the entire structure.

The auditorium is the most noticeable display of the customized glass patterns, it is a space characterized by expanses of glass and high ceilings. It also designed to be a multi functional room, equipped with stackable chairs.

Green areas inside directly challenge the monotony of a banks interior. They are our interpretation of drawing the natural world inside. The completely glass structure, as well as the location allows for a constant interchange between the view of the ocean juxtaposed with our fabricated interior gardens.

We aim to create a design that induces an inspiring working environment, one that lives and breathes. Floors one through six are characterized by open layouts, stimulating the sharing of ideas and an efficient working system. Glass partitions allow for privacy within higher ranking offices, while still maintaining such openness.

On the operative floors, work station layouts are designed for maximum flexibility. A successful working environment is one that is organic, and is able to mold to the needs of its employees. The work stations can be moved around, removed or added. In addition, the ceiling is designed to be fully functional regardless of any changes in the layout, and is designed in smaller square sections for easy maintenance and inspection.

The third operative floor is equipped with an audio visual room and an adjacent library. Custom made book shelves designed specifically for Al Barakas needs are just another aspect that depicts the attention paid to every element of design. On the mezzanine floor, we may find a training room set with custom chairs and attached tables in Al Baraka colors.

Every aspect of the design is thoughtfully handpicked to create a cohesive overall look. Al Barakas brand colors have been incorporated tastefully into the details of the design.

On the operative floors, you may find orange and red leather chairs scattered amongst meeting rooms, work stations, at reception desks, and the occasional orange carpet in private offices. The grey is incorporated into the carpets to create a backdrop for splashes of color here and there. The carpets are also functional such as they are removable for cleaning and in order to access hidden computer cables.

On the seventh floor, each of these elements has been refined. The colors become richer and darker, the materials more superior, and the private spaces more defined. The flooring changes between walnut parquet and statuario marble, and the reception desk differs from the other floors, made of dark wood veneer. The largest conference area also resides on this floor, adjacent to a dining area able to seat 42 executives. Every material used on this floor was handpicked from the most prestigious manufacturers in the world.
